If you've read this far and haven't figured out what this thing is all about, here's a little more about me and why my advice is worth anything:
I have organized two surf trips to Bali/G-Land, one boat trip to Panaitan Island in West Java where Timmy Turner shot "Second Thoughts", one boat trip to Northern Sumatra (Simeulue, Banyaks, Nias, Hinakos, Telos) and one to the Mentawais. I'm not a great surfer or anything but I can help you figure out all the travel stuff to Indonesia so you don't get ripped off or waste your vacation time sleeping in asian airports, especially if you're flying from the US. I've worked with Waterways, Wavehunters, and Sumatran Surfaris, and have flown to indo on Singapore Airlines, Japan Air Lines, Silk Air, Garuda, AWAIR, and China Airlines.
